HTC show off Hero handset and brand new Sense interface

At a launch event yeterday HTC unveiled their third Android phone, the Hero. Featuring a teflon coated shell and new HTC Sense user interface, the handset does a lot to differentiate itself from the (soon to be) sprawl of Android phones. Read on for more.

HTC to offer Sense UI upgrade for Magic

HTC`s customised Sense UI blew us away when it was released on the Hero build we saw a couple of months ago. Now HTC have come forward and announced that it will be available for download on the Magic handset for a small fee or for no charge. Hardware wise, the Hero and the Magic are almost identical, ignoring the Hero`s 5megapixel camera and (for some US carrier specific models) some extra ram, so we know that it will run. In a move that has surprised analysts and commentators, HTC have ignored the four main carriers and have opted to release the HTC Hero as an exclusive with Harvey Norman.
