GIGABYTE M912 Convertible Tablet PC Netbook Review
The GIGABYTE M912 Convertible Tablet PC certainly has its quirks, like the somewhat frustrating keyboard and the cheaper choice of plastic, but at least it’s trying to bring something innovative to the table. The performance is quite good and I liked having the higher WXGA resolution, especially when it came to surfing certain websites. There’s work to be done and the price may scare off some potential customers, but GIGABYTE may have just changed the game for everyone else.

Gigabyte M912V Review
The Gigabyte M912V has the potential to shake up the mini-notebook market, but it hasn’t mastered the basics of comparable systems. While the touch experience is solid and as good as many of the other tablets out there, its limited endurance, cramped keyboard, and hot temperature limit its potential. It packs much of the tablet functionality of the Fujitsu LifeBook P1620, which is the same size but costs $1, 400 more, but the P1620 offers twice the performance and battery life. If you’re looking primarily for a mini-notebook that lets you use your finger to navigate the Web, the $699 M912V is the best choice. But if you want a cheaper 8.9-inch netbook to tote around on the go, the $379 Acer Aspire one or the $599 Eee PC 901 will do the trick.

Gigabyte M912 Netbook - Touch Friendly
If you`re looking for a portable computing device that can handle Vista capably while having the additional touchscreen based experience on a netbook, then the Gigabyte M912 is for you. However as highlighted above, it`s not a perfect and it could have been so much more if only the right OS was loaded (which isn`t a retail option sadly).

Gigabyte M912M review
Tablet PCs were practically foisted onto an unwilling public. Despite attempts to make them usable, the Windows Tablet concept remains unloved. Contrast this with netbooks, where the notebook-buying audience seemed to jump on the idea as soon as the first models crept onto the market. So what happens when you combine a tablet with a netbook? Let`s ask the Gigabyte M912M, a diminutive laptop with a regular folding LCD display that doubles as a tablet touchscreen.

Gigabyte M912M
